Engine components can are susceptible to carbon or sludge buildups that can affect performance. Dry ice cleaning does a nice job of removing those buildups from castings. It excels at cleaning or deburring engine components even if they are plastic. Difficult to remove gasket materials can be cleaned off avoiding manual scraping which can lead to gouges. With dry ice, cast iron or aluminium won’t be altered as the media is non-abrasive and there’s no chance of the media being entrapped in oil passages or places it shouldn’t be as it disappears on impact leaving and nice clean surface.
